Bear Cubs drop second consecutive game in conference play

The Bear Cubs lost their second consecutive game on to Delta College 3-7 March 13 dropping their record to 0-2 in league play and 12-4 overall.
The game started with Anthony Bender giving the Bear Cubs a 2-0 lead after his RBI single in the first inning.
Pitcher Brandon Haggerla didn’t have a great start to the game. After hitting the first batter then an error, and a walk, the bases were loaded for Delta.
A pair of RBI’s and a ground out with a runner on third put Delta up 3-2 heading into the second inning.
Haggerla struggled until finally putting up zeros in the fourth inning. A sac fly put Delta up 4-2.
SRJC pushed across a run in the eighth to make the score 4-3. Unfortunately that was all the Bear Cubs could manage.
Delta scored 3 more runs in the bottom of the eighth to put the game away. The Bear Cubs outhit Delta 8-7 but committed two errors in the game.
