Joining The Oak Leaf
The Oak Leaf gives its staff of SRJC students on-the-job training in reporting on Santa Rosa Junior College and the wider Sonoma County community. Students deliver stories in many forms: printed magazines, podcasts and videos on Spotify and YouTube, and digital journalism on social media and www.theoakleafnews.com.
If you’re interested in hands-on opportunities in writing, copy editing, photography, video editing, podcasting, advertising, public relations, social media, graphic design, web management and more, enroll in JOUR 52A: News Media Practice 1. We recommend taking JOUR 1: Intro to Journalism before or concurrently with JOUR 52A.
