Both cross country teams were impressive as they were top 2 in both of their divisions at the Toro Park Invitational Oct. 11.

The men’s cross country team finished second and scored 47 points with a total time of 1:47:39 seconds at an average of 21:31 seconds a mile in the four-mile run. Jaime Silva was the top finishing man for SRJC and placed second overall with a time of 20:53 seconds at an average of 5:13 seconds a mile.

The women’s cross country team won with 39 points with a total time of 1:43:13 seconds at an average of 20:38 seconds a mile in the three mile run on Oct. 11. Taylor Faulk was the top women for SRJC and placed first overall with a time of 18:59 seconds at an average of 6:19 seconds a mile.

The next meet is the Pat Ryan Invitational on Friday Oct. 18 at 2:30 p.m.
