In-person graduation ceremonies will finally be returning for SRJC graduates this May.

Santa Rosa Junior College is planning to host an in-person commencement ceremony for the Spring 2022 graduating class for the first time since 2019, SRJC President Dr. Frank Chong confirmed in an email Feb. 9.

According to Dr. Chong, “Each event will be carefully planned and organized by each planning committee to include COVID-19 safety measures and must adhere to all current guidelines from health officials.”

Graduation events were held virtually in 2019 and 2020 due to the pandemic, with graduates celebrated through live-streams and optional drive-by diploma cover pick-up events.

Students wishing to participate in Spring 2022 graduation must submit an application for their degree by April 1 to ensure their name will be on the commencement program. This is not an automatic process and can be done through the SRJC Portal.
