As part of Black History Month, SRJC BLAC will present “Creating Black Equity,” an event focused on combating institutional racism.

Santa Rosa Junior College Black Leaders Association Collective (BLAC) presents “Creating Black Equity: Action Beyond Solidarity Statements,” a summit about creating and maintaining an anti-racist campus 8:30 a.m.–noon Feb. 26 on Zoom.

The event, sponsored by Santa Rosa Junior College’s Intercultural Centers, features special guests from Chabot College who will speak about their work in combating racism. Keynote speakers include Dr. Jeanne Wilson, dean of special programs and services; and Dr. Jamal Cooks, dean of language arts.

The speakers will suggest how we can dismantle structures, policies and practices of inequalities across SRJC campuses and lay the groundwork for an inclusive and equity-minded campus.
