Here at Santa Rosa Junior College diversity drives our daily lives. For our first center spread of the semester, the Oak Leaf decided to make our paper all about you.
We used your photos and survey answers to represent the diversity of our campus and students. We wanted to find out what you cared about, where you go to converse with your peers and what made you tick. We asked you about your relationship with Dr. Chong, the ridiculous amounts of money you spend on books, how long you’ve been here and even where you’re living.
We were surprised how many of you had met Dr. Chong and how few had been to a sporting event. We share in your lament at the prices of books and share your struggle to find a stable place to live.
This was not big brother keeping tabs on you or an online personality test but a way for us to take a snapshot of the spectrum of people taking classes with us this year.
