Nick Stalker, Reporter
Nick Stalker is in his second semester at The Oak Leaf and just one semester away from completing his journalism degree. Having always been an avid sports fan with a desire to share his two cents, Nick decided to combine his passion for sports with an ever-changing news landscape, sharing his perspective in a professional newsroom. He looks forward to getting more practical experience covering sports as part of a news team for an award winning publication. Outside of school, Nick works on the weekends and spends his free time hiking and watching sports, obviously.
Manuel Ortega III, Reporter
Manuel Ortega III is in their first semester at The Oak Leaf. He is majoring in journalism and hopes to transfer to a four-year institution to pursue a degree in broadcast journalism. He primarily focuses on sports coverage, specifically baseball, and wishes to bring extensive analysis to his work. He loves all things sports and the Bay Area, rooting for the Giants, 49ers and Warriors. When he’s not watching sports, you can find him playing drums and listening to Laufey.
Colin Pratt, Reporter
Colin Pratt is in his fourth semester at Santa Rosa Junior College and his second semester with The Oak Leaf. He plans to cover baseball and basketball this semester and improve his sports coverage, along with interviewing, throughout the new year. Colin hopes to transfer to California State University, Fullerton at the start of 2027 to become a full-time sports writer and media producer. When he isn’t covering energetic games, you can find Colin working out at his local gym, watching NBA or MLB games and hanging out with his friends.
Jaiyah Fuksman, Reporter
Jaiyah Fuksman is a journalism major in his second semester at Santa Rosa Junior College. He joined The Oak Leaf to cover sports. Aside from the pen and paper, Jaiyah plays for the SRJC men’s soccer team and enjoys watching all types of sports. An avid Bay Area sports fan, he supports the 49ers, Oakland A’s, Warriors, San Jose Sharks and the San Jose Earthquakes.
Jacob Miller, Reporter
Jacob Miller is in his third year at Santa Rosa Junior College. After studying communications for the first two years, he decided to focus on something he is more passionate about. He is now taking journalism and film classes to focus on documentary filmmaking. Jacob plans to tell human-interest stories and sharpen his video creation skills in his first semester at The Oak Leaf.
Yna Bollock, Online Editor
Yna Bollock (she/her) is in her fifth semester with the Oak Leaf and is pursuing a degree in Journalism with an emphasis in photography. Prior to journalism, she graduated from SRJC’s culinary program in 2013. Yna’s interests include covering sports, all things food and disaster coverage.
