Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown and community leader Elbert “Big Man” Howard, Co-founder of the Oakland Black Panther Party will be speaking at SRJC in February as part of the awareness and celebration of Black History Month 2012.

At 2 p.m. Feb. 8 in the Student Activities Center, room 4608, Bertolini Student Center, Howard will hold a lecture on “Role of the Black Panthers in civic engagement.”

At 4 p.m. Feb. 22 in the Student Activities Center, room 4608, Bertolini Student Center, Brown will hold a lecture “Politics and Public Service.”
