The music of “Star Wars” and “Pirates of the Caribbean” has been some of the most iconic in Hollywood. The blaring horns at the start of a “Star Wars” film is enough to give any fan goosebumps.
The SRJC Orchestra & Symphonic Band will bring the sounds of the movies to Santa Rosa at 7:30 p.m. this Saturday, Dec. 8.
Conductor Dr. Jerome Flag will direct “Lights, Camera, Action!” the premiere of the SRJC Percussion Ensemble.
The concert features the scores of John Williams (“Star Wars”), Jerry Bruckheimer (“Pirates”) and more classic movie composers at the Jackson Theater located at the Sonoma County Day School in Santa Rosa.
“This is a concert of music everyone knows and loves. The audience can expect to go on a journey of music from movies and the stage,” Fleg said.
General tickets will be $10 and $5 for students, seniors or children. Tickets will only be sold at the door.
