Former Santa Rosa Junior College Information Technology employee Jordan Mead was arrested early Saturday morning on felony domestic violence and false imprisonment charges.
Mead was booked into Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility at 2:44 a.m. Aug. 30 on four charges: two felony false imprisonment charges (California Penal Code 236), and one felony and one misdemeanor charge of inflicting bodily injury on a spouse (PC 273.5a) according to the Sonoma County Sheriff Jail Inmate Search website.
His bail hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Mead’s wife served him with divorce papers on July 24, according to Sonoma County Court documents.
Mead’s arrest comes one month before his preliminary hearing on charges that he allegedly stalked SRJC Vice President Kate Jolley. In that case, Rohnert Park Police arrested Mead outside of Jolley’s home on March 19. The District Attorney filed one felony stalking charge (PC 646.9a) and a misdemeanor harassment charge for making annoying telephone calls (PC 653mb).
Mead’s prior bail was set at $1 million by Judge Rene Auguste Chouteau after he violated a five-day emergency protective order. Mead was released later that day after posting bail.
“I will tell you I had no malevolent intent,” Mead told the Oak Leaf after his March arrest. “I was on the public sidewalk the entire time I was there. I never stepped on her property.”
Mead also said going to Jolley’s house was beneficial to his “whistleblowing campaign” against the college for rerouting 911 calls from the Santa Rosa Police Department to SRJC’s District Police for a period of nine months in 2024.
Mead’s preliminary hearing on the stalking and harassment charges is scheduled for Oct. 6.
