Vanessa Herrera Ortega, Reporter
Vanessa Herrera Ortega is pursuing a degree in journalism. She is in her first year at Santa Rosa Junior College and her first semester at The Oak Leaf. With previous experience writing columns for The Calistoga Tribune, she hopes to write about politics, local news or sports. Vanessa is working toward an associate degree in journalism and plans to transfer to UC Berkeley or San Francisco State. Outside of school, she enjoys baking, painting, listening to music and going on walks with her dog, Suki.
