Jordan Mead, a former Santa Rosa Junior College information technology employee, pleaded not guilty to one felony count of false imprisonment and one misdemeanor count of inflicting bodily injury on a spouse, in Sonoma County Superior Court Sept. 9.
Mead told Judge Laura Passaglia that he denied all the charges when entering his non-guilty pleas. He will remain in custody until his preliminary hearing. The new charges come less than six months after Mead’s arrest for allegedly stalking an SRJC vice president outside her home.
Mead’s attorney, Ibrahim Agil, requested that Mead’s preliminary hearing on felony stalking charges, set for Oct. 6, be moved to Sept. 29 to reduce the number of hearing dates. The judge denied this request until Agil submits the proper paperwork.
In an interview with Agil outside the courtroom, he said he is attempting to defer Mead from Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility to mental health services. He also attributed Mead’s criminal behavior to a decline in mental health, citing Mead’s lack of criminal history prior to his arrest on felony stalking charges in March.
Mead launched a “whistle blowing” campaign in late 2024 after he discovered the college was illegally rerouting 911 calls made from SRJC campus phones to campus police. The college began rerouting the calls beginning in March 2024, according to SRJC President Angelica Garcia. After the school briefly discussed keeping the routing in place and becoming a primary public safety answering point, the violation was corrected on Nov. 21, 2024.
Soon after appearing at a Board of Trustees meeting on March 11, in which he called out the school for the rerouting of calls, Mead began sending threatening messages to SRJC Vice President Kate Jolley and the entire college staff. Mead’s alleged harassment of Jolley escalated to an arrest outside her Rohnert Park home on March 19 and a felony stalking charge filed against him.
Mead’s next readiness hearing is scheduled for Sept. 29 and his preliminary hearing for stalking charges currently remains set for Oct. 6.

This is new information from Dr. Garcia, and it conflicts with her previous statements. Please seek proof of what she has stated; it’s a problem when a person in leadership feels that they can redefine reality with words. There is a difference between the past tense and future tense; therein lies the lying. Fact check her. Thank you.
