Santa Rosa Junior College will host its annual Fall Fest to celebrate this year’s harvest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 11 at Shone Farm.
Shone Farm, located at 7450 Steve Olson Lane in Forestville, provides hands-on education for students of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Department. All of the fresh produce, wine and animal care is provided by the Agriculture students.
The event will offer meet-and-greets with farm animals, hay rides and locally grown produce available for purchase. Lunch choices at the event will include burgers and hot dogs prepared by Sebastopol FFA, as well as vegetarian and vegan options. The Black Piglet food truck along with Shone Farm wines, crafted from the farm’s sustainable estate vineyards, will also be available.
“I look forward to Fall Fest every year.” said SRJC Environmental Studies student Ariana Covarrubias. “The event is truly spectacular with a wide variety of activities for all ages.”
Admission is $5 for everyone and children younger than 2 get in free. Tickets can be purchased online.
