Gunpoint robbery on SRJC campus

Gunpoint+robbery+on+SRJC+campus

Two male suspects robbed a female student at gunpoint around 8 p.m. Oct 11 near Bech Hall at Santa Rosa Junior College.

The student told the SRJC District Police officers the men approached her from behind, one grabbed at her sleeve, pointed a gun into her back and demanded she give him everything she had. She took some money from her backpack and gave it to one suspect.

The robbers escaped on foot, probably between Lark Hall and Baker Hall with her money after pushing her into the bushes, the student said.

The suspects wore dark hoodies shadowing their faces and had darker complexions. The suspect yielding the black handgun was described as being medium build and possibly wearing a gold chain. The second suspect was heavy set and around 6-feet tall and was wearing a sweatshirt that said “USA” on it.

SRJC District police, who responded within minutes of the call, searched the area but could not locate the suspects.

Adeira Sherpa, Co-Photo Editor
Adeira Sherpa is grammatically challenged and often disorganized. She was accidentally appointed co-photo editor but refuses to give up the title.   Adeira is a walking contradiction. She hates driving but chose a job 30 minutes from home and a college that requires an hour in her car each way (she also claims to want to be environmentally friendly but doesn’t drive a hybrid). She says she wants to travel but goes to school less than 20 miles from where she was born. She doesn’t quite fit in the “white” category or the Nepalese, because she doesn’t look like either. Her search for direction brought her to The Oak Leaf, but now she’s more confused than ever.
